LETTER OF THANKS - Dec 26, 2004

To: Suzuki Associations of All Nations and All Suzuki Teachers

Dear Sirs:

First of all, we would like to appreciate your kind assistance and support to the 2nd Asia Suzuki Conference in Taiwan. Due to great sponsor of whole Suzuki Family, the 2nd Asia Suzuki Conference in Taiwan was extremely successful. All directors and supervisors of Taiwan Suzuki Association (ˇ§TSAˇ¨) hereby express the highest gratitude to all of you for your help.

We are so glad that everything was satisfactory and favorable in the process of the session. An audience of 2,500 was invited to join 3 concerts. Above all, we knew that the participants all have got back home safely. Meanwhile, TSA received letters of thanks and letter of greetings from participants after returning home. We hereby display our gratitude to all of you again.

TSA was founded in 1994, having been duly authorized and approved by ISA. Taiwan Suzuki Teacher Training Program was successfully formulated with the great aid of ISA. TSA instructors and members received the certificates issued by ISA according to this Program. In addition, Suzuki Teacher Trainers for the Program were dispatched to Taiwan by ISA, so we appreciate very much all the guidance and concern from ISA. Afterwards, due to strong desire and suggestion of TSA members, Ms. Hirata North Michi (SAA), Mr. Yoshihiko Terada (TERI), Ms. Hiroko Suzuki (TERI), Dr. Evlyn Hermann (SAA) as well as Mr. Yasuki Nakamura (PPSA) were one after another invited by TSA as advisors and instructors in Taiwan over these years.

In the wake of reorganization in 1999, TSA is aggressively promoting Suzuki Teaching in Asia, being responsible for staging Asia Suzuki Friendship Concert in 2000 and 2001 respectively. Many members of Suzuki Associations from Philippines, Korea, Singapore, USA, Australia and Japan were invited to take part in these concerts gratis. Moreover, TSA members in violin, piano and cello also invited 14 members of Korea Suzuki Association and 4 members of TERI (Japan) to join Home Stay Program, and food and traffic all were free of charge during 5 days for this home stay program.

TSA has been founded for 10 years, but it is a young member in Suzuki Family. At the above 2nd Asia Suzuki Conference, TSA students acquired valuable experience, joining the concert in capacity of performers. In string ensemble playing, Mr. Paul Landefeld and Mr. Yoshihiko Terada were invited to act conductors of TSA String Orchestra. They successfully played Canon of Pachebel and Eine Kleine Nachtmusik of Mozart.

TSA Executive Committee being comprised of TSA teachers of all sectors started working at the outset of 2004. All members were doing every endeavor for programming and performance as volunteers. Meeting of TSA Executive Committee was held on every Sunday. In order to discuss the details of 2nd Asia Suzuki Conference, Korean teachers that had been Taiwan twice also attended the meeting of TSA Executive Committee held at the beginning of July, 2004 and at the end of July, 2004 respectively. All the issues discussed at the meetings have been duly and completely recorded by us. Upon receipt of reports of all section chiefs of TSA Executive Committee and several confirmations by related persons of Taiwan and from foreign counties, ASA would face some great events prior to the calling of the 2nd Asia Suzuki Conference. TSA Executive Committee could still discuss all possible problems and difficulties and successfully controlled the situation, therefore TSA obtained sympathy and support from lots of foreign Suzuki Friends, and the conference could be held satisfactorily. Meanwhile, ex-first lady of Taiwan was also invited to take part in Gala Concert in capacity of special guest. This plan could come true because of great support from foreign Suzuki Friends.

TSA members have a great expectation of ASA, because all ASA nation members are not so distant and are reciprocal. When Ms. Hiroko Suzuki, ISA Chairman suggested founding ASA in 2002, all TSA members seconded this suggestion unanimously. In 2003, TSA members firstly paid ASA membership fees for 300 families in Korea, since then, our members are growing steadily day after day. To satisfy with the desires of its member, TSA will precisely publish the situation relating to the development of ASA.

We would like to say thank you again for your attending 2nd Asia Suzuki Conference. It is our pleasure to inform you that TSA is going to send Calendar 2005 and DVD of Opening Concert and Gala Concert to all Suzuki Associations recently. However, we found that Booking Forms of some participants had not been delivered to TSA; as a result, the above gifts will be sent to the respective Suzuki Association, which will pass to these participants in its country.

Dr. Shinichi Suzuki, Founder of Suzuki Method was devoted to Suzuki Education Program for life without considering money, status or interest. Nobody can forget his sayings: ˇ§Living in loveˇ¨, ˇ§Don't make other's heart brokenˇ¨, etc. Owing to his consistence, we can enjoy so extensive learning environment. Our hearts are full of gratitude to Mr. Suzuki. We are expecting the next meeting soon.

With kindest regards,
Very truly yours,

Board of Directors, Taiwan Suzuki Association (TSA)
Executive Committee, Asia Suzuki Conference
